Laura Callan

Associate Director

Laura has over 14 years’ experience gained working in various local authorities including Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council.  With her varied experience Laura has a deep understanding of a council’s approach to complex planning cases. She can see a case from both sides and enter into discussions and negotiations that will support her clients to realise their development ambitions or avoid enforcement action.

Laura has achieved successful outcomes for ET Planning clients in planning and enforcement appeals and gaining planning permission for retrospective development and certificates of lawfulness.

Laura is a versatile planner and has experience working within multi-disciplinary teams on strategic development proposals including housing, employment uses, infrastructure and renewable energy.

Navigating the planning process can be complex and daunting, especially if you are faced with refusals or the prospect of enforcement action from the council. Laura will support you to realise the best possible outcome for your site or to avoid/defend unnecessary and unjustified council action so that you can continue with your business, livelihood or enjoyment of your home.

Laura holds a BA Hons Degree in Urban and Environmental Planning and a Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning from London South Bank University. She is also a Chartered Membership of the RTPI since 2014

When she’s not at work, Laura can often be found planning her next family travel adventure, which is most likely to either Italy or Australia. With family in both countries, she’s got a tough choice as to which one she visits next!
