New plans for an Aerospace Research and Innovation Centre at the Farnborough College of Technology have now been approved by Rushmoor Borough Council’s planning committee.
The purpose-built, state of the art building will reflect a recognised need from the industry to provide an exceptional regional educational and research hub, and also ties into the distinctive aeronautical history of Farnborough.
ET Planning are delighted to be able to support the ‘outstanding’ college once again in its site’s re-development plans. A pre-application process had included in-depth discussions with the Council in order to understand any concerns they may have, prior to plans being submitted. Architects Bond Bryan have delivered fantastic, detailed plans; bringing the proposed development to life.
This new development is proposed to be a part single and a part two storey building, replacing an existing two-storey building which has now been demolished.
The building will facilitate aeronautical research and development and will support the College’s mission “to ensure achievement, progression and employment opportunities for all students through the delivery of outstanding technical, vocational and academic education courses and skills”.
